Plant City YMCA Turkey Trot 5K

People gathered at the Plant City YMCA yesterday morning in the rare cool of the Florida Fall to participate in and cheer on the annual Turkey Trot 5K.  While most people were there for a morning of community fun and exercise, there was definitely more than an edge of competition in the different divisions. There was also a 1 mile fun-walk for those not yet up to tackling the full 5K.   I'd like to extend a congratulations to Parker Smith (18:49) and Rebecca Rothman (21:20) for taking home the grand prize turkeys, and a special cheer to Joyce Brown for taking home the pie in the septuagenerian category.  Pictures are available to view through facebook HERE and HERE and prints/high resolution images are available for order through November 18th with free shipping HERE.

Congratulations Shani and Dan!!!

Shani and Dan's wedding was absolutely beautiful, and not just because of the beautiful bride and her impecable style.  What made this wedding so beautiful was how each of the details, from the butterflies fluttering on her dress to the gorgeous location, told their love story.  I'm so happy for them and am so glad I got to be a part of this blessed event.

Memoirs of the Time War

So I recently wore my "Band Photographer" hat and shot The Ken Spivey band's album cover.  They will be releasing their newest album, Memoirs of the Time War in July at TimeGate 2012.  If you're in Atlanta and dig the idea of high energy Celtic Time Lord Rock, you should definitely check them out.  If you're not able to find your way to the convention or one of the Time Lord Fest events, the album will be is available for download through Amazon and physical copies from CD Baby (link to go live after the CD release)

Welcome Dean

Welcome to the world, baby Dean! Dean Sergio C. was born a few weeks ago, and he is absolutley adorable. My wife, and Thania (Dean's mom), became close friends in grad school. We are thrilled to be a part of this next step in their family's life.

On the other hand, I am the proud papa of a stunning little girl. So Dean we love you, but I'm keeping both eyes on you... (picture the dad in "Meet the Parents")
